Week 3 Recap
ByKevin Du
- Zac Phororo must have felt like he needed to make up for lost time after missing the previous week, as he put up a league leading 24 points on an efficient 22.5% shooting
- It took a few weeks, but Aaron Slack has thrown his hat into contention for the best shooting award by hitting 5 treys
- Scott Brummett continues to be an inspiration for the league, grabbing a league high 20 rebounds! Yes, you heard that correctly.
- While Sawyer McKenzie’s outside shot hasn’t been falling for him, he continues to do all the little things to help his team get Ws, dishing out 6 assists to go along with 3 steals and 2 blocks
- Michael Manthorp tried his best at being a smooth criminal, snatching 4 steals, but it wasn’t enough to help his team get the win
- Oops Wrong League had a season high 75 shot attempts from the field to go along with 17 free throws, but they still couldn’t overcome Tic Tac Toe’s quest for the 3peat after Cesar Ramirez’s clutch free throw shooting iced the game for them.
- Shoot By Faith, Not By Sight may have the longest name, but they did not have the longest range this past week, hitting a mere 7.7% from behind the arc. However, that didn’t matter, as they were able to pull off the victory against the short handed Slackers.
- As a league, our shooting has gotten progressively worse each week, so either we’re all playing harder defense against each other, or we all need to hit the gym a couple times this week.
