Week 2 Recap
- Timothy Johnson could not be stopped, torching the Dunkin Donuts for 31 points, on 5/6 shooting behind the arc, but ultimately was unable to secure the win for his team
- Ryno Moore finally got his elusive triple double this past week, with an incredible 10 steal, 11 rebound, and 22 point triple double
- There have been complaints of missing stats, but Sawyer McKenzie’s block party was inked: notching 4 blocks to go along with 16 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.
- Matias Seccombe finally got it going to achieve our sharpshooting title this week, hitting 62.5% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc in a 25 point effort to lead his team to victory
- Our X Factor award goes to Andrue Henson, who’s speed and hustle helped his team to secure another victory despite missing some key players.
- Interestingly, as a league we made the same amount of 3s in weeks 1 and 2 (38 makes) and took only 1 less 3pt shot attempt than last week (130 attempts). We also took 2 less 2pt attempts than last week (230 attempts), indicating that our pace of play has been very consistent. The statistic with the largest jump was assists, where we dished out 46 assists as a league compared to 27 last week.
- The Dunkin Donuts came away with the 2 point victory over the 3-peat seeking Tic Tac Toes. However, some poor clock management at the end of the game by the Dunkin Donuts gave the Tic Tac Toes multiple opportunities to take the game in the final moments.
