Weekly Encouragement:
Here are a few Bible verses that I hope can serve as an encouragement for
whoever might need it today.
* “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will
strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right
hand” Isaiah 41:10
* “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
* “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,
for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
* “The Lord is near the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in Spirit.” Psalm
34:18
* “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if
we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
* “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or
think, according to the power at work within us” Ephesians 3:20

Weekly Shoutouts:
* Our leading scorer for the week was Joey Zoller who put up 32 points, going 6
for 12 from deep to go along with 10 rebounds. Joey looked unstoppable on the
court as he did everything he could to keep his team’s championship hopes
alive.
* Noah Andrade earned the title of rebounding leader again this week when he
secured 14 rebounds to go along with 6 points, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 2
blocks. Maybe someone should start boxing him out?
* Another shout out this week goes to Garrett Holloway. Garrett scored 17
points, going 5 for 6 from three, to go along with 6 rebounds, 2 assists and
1 steal along with plenty of hustle points on defense.
* Our final shout out goes to Tyler Bernth. Tyler is consistently one of the
most efficient scorers in the league, along with being one of the most humble
and selfless players. He is currently averaging 13.5 points per game with a
field goal percentage of 60.8 and a three point percentage of 52.6. This week
he went 4 for 6 from two and 4 for 5 from three. Quite impressive.

Weekly Recap:
* Crossroads Basketball Season 12 playoff opener was an entertaining one that
went down to the wire between Goon Squad and Matt and the Missed
Opportunities. Joey Zoller and Jayson Bohrer both put up great numbers but
were ultimately unsuccessful against Goon Squad. Injuries were impactful for
both teams and the game ultimately came down to free throws and a solid
defensive effort in the second half by Goon Squad to seal the victory. Final
score 60-56.
* Game two was not so close as Tyler’s Heroes were able to get past Cloudy with
a Chance of Airballs fairly easily. Both Alec Frank and Tyler Bernth put up
solid numbers to lead their team to the second round. Cloudy with a Chance of
Airballs will look to finish the season with a win when they face off against
Matt and the Missed Opportunities next week. Final score 67-52.
* Justin Time fought hard against a sizable Noah’s Arc squad but ultimately
couldn’t keep captain Aaron Slack out of the paint as he made 11 out of his
16 two point attempts. Imagine how dangerous he could be if he could shoot
the three too? Oh wait… Joshua Antee also had a solid game to help his team
move forward in their championship push, going a perfect 4 for 4 from the
field. Final score 65-58.
See you all on Sunday.
