As mentioned during our pre-game meetings, there will be 2 “All-Star” events prior to the championship game:
- 3 point contest: Hit as many 3s as you can moving from location to location around the 3pt line within 60 seconds. You will need to recruit a rebounder.

Round 1 Playoffs Recap:
- Joshua LePenske needed 27 shots to do it, but he has retained his scoring champion crown to lead his team to advance to the semi finals this coming Sunday with 24 points
- I never thought I’d say this, but Tyler Bernth has attained this week’s sharpshooter award, going 5/6 from behind the 3pt line. This is bad news for our league… He averaged 14ppg without taking a single 3pt shot for 8 seasons.
- It was an exhausting game for the shorthanded Tic Tac Toe’s, but Sawyer McKenzie remained vigilant, grabbing 18 rebounds in the exhibition game where his top players were load managing.
- Macie Jackson has made her first appearance on the weekly highlights (with the help of some generous statisticians), notching 6 assists for to help her team win in a rout
- Ryno Moore continues to be a menace on the defensive end of the ball, nabbing 6 steals
- Perhaps having a cheering section gave Michael Manthorp some extra boosties on his way to lead the league with 5 blocks in a massive defensive effort
- Honorable mention goes to Ethan Silguero completed our league’s first 4pt play of the season
- Oops Wrong League was without 2 of their best players and they sorely needed them in a grueling 5 on 5 matchup against the Dunkin Donuts where neither team had subs. It was a hard fought game where Kai Husen took more shot attempts than he did the entire season combined. Maybe. A valiant double-double effort by Amber Farrar could not get her team over the hump and they lost to the Jacob Brummett led team who are en route to his staple appearance at the finals. Joshua LePenske has been known to be very generous with, not just the stats of the team he tracks, but his own. But he was a big part of the reason his team won, with 24 points/6 reb/5 ast/7 stl performance. The only thing standing in their way?
- Tic Tac Toe and co., who were also running low on players in another sub-starved 5 on 6 exhibition match. Shoot By Faith, Not By Sight had a revenge game in a 21 point rout behind Tyler Bernth’s 5/6 shooting from the arc… He shot and missed one last week, but he followed it up with a magnificent performance. Reminds me of Brook Lopez’s emergence as a premier 3pt shooter in the league almost overnight. Nathan Brummett and Timothy Johnson decided to leave their team hanging by taking load management day.
- The floppies managed to beat the captain-less Slackers to advance to the semi finals. Despite missing their captain and top scorer, the Slackers hung in until the very end behind a 10pt/10reb performance by both Ricky Dorn and Marquis Hogue. On the other side of things, Michael Manthorp and Ryno Moore put up a stupendous defensive effort, tallying 9 steals and 5 blocks between the two of them to go along with 17 and 15 points respectively.
- As a league, we had our highest totals in Rebounds (226), Assists (47), and Steals (52) for the week!
