Stat Leaders:
* Brandon Cunningham reprises his role as the league’s leading scorer for the
week, dropping 29 points to lead his team to victory
* After a long absence, Garrett Holloway returned to the league with a bang,
sinking 7/14 from deep to lead all snipers bringing his % up from the bottom
half of the league to the top half of the league in the process
* I don’t know if he’s ever won in this category for the week, but Ryno
Moore pulled down the most boards last week with 10
* Tyler Bernth is usually known for taking the ball away, but he was the league
leader in assists this week with 4
* Joey Zoller takes home the block party award with 2 blocks, including a game
winning block!

Weekly Recap:
* He is Rizzen continued to add to their league leading steals total, but they
ultimately could not overcome the efficient offense of UnderdogISH. Captain
Ryno Moore was everywhere on the court (I’m curious how much total distance
he covered after the game was over), but despite his efforts and a
suffocating full court press that generated at least 10 turnovers, they fell
short. The team as a whole struggled to find a rhythm on offense, shooting
27.9% as a team despite Garrett Holloway’s hot 3pt shooting night. On the
other side, Jacob’s team had 3 players score in double figures, and the team
shot 55.3% from the field. Despite turning the ball over at least 10 times,
they were able to make the most of their offensive possessions.
* Airballer Anonymous upset the 3rd seeded Energizer Bunnies in a drama filled
final 30 seconds. They sorely miss co-captain Timothy Johnson but they were
able to steady the boat in his absence and hope to have him back next week.
Joey Zoller took on most of the scoring responsibilities, tallying 26 points
and had a game winning block despite his child-sized jersey. Captain Tyler
Bernth had quite possibly his worst game of his career, going 1/10 from the
field and his only make was a 3 (oh how the turn tables). Tyler Sewell got
off to a hot start again, following his 50 point game, but he had trouble
finding the ball on offense throughout the game, especially in the 2nd half.
Zack Pierce went an impressive 90% from the field, and had the ball in his
hands to end the game but ultimately couldn’t generate a winning play for his
team.
* Despite leading at the end of the 1st half, Ol’ Dogs and New Tricks continued
to show that they couldn’t learn a new trick: winning. This was the first
time all season that the team had a full roster, but it wasn’t enough to
defeat Dorns in my Side despite their short-handed team. 4 players scored in
double digits, but costly turnovers and offensive rebounds ultimately let the
game slip away. Shout out to Jackson Thompson who had every shot he called
“short” go in. Brandon Cunningham and Marquis Hogue got off to a slow start,
but heated up in the second half to help carry their team to victory.
